globalhr is seeking a Project Engineering Manager in the UK to lead an engineering team delivering advanced Air Traffic Management systems. The role combines hands-on leadership with strategic delivery across global customers, requiring strong cross-functional collaboration and a focus on technical excellence and profitable delivery.

You will steer multi-discipline teams, manage development plans, and liaise with customers and Design Authority to maintain system integrity while controlling risk,

Qualifications

• Proven delivery of complex multi-disciplined development programmes.
• Extensive systems engineering experience guiding high-performance teams.
• Strong financial management and programme impact awareness.
• Strategic leadership with stakeholder relationship skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Broad technical background in systems design and integration.
• Knowledge of software development and delivery methodologies.

Responsabilités

• Engineering leadership of a multi disciplined team delivering global sensors and weapons products and services.
• Generate / coordinate Engineering development plans aligned to programme needs.
• Work package management with planning, tracking and KPI reporting.
• External technical contact and liaison for key internal and external customers with status reporting.
• Close liaison with Design Authority to ensure technical integrity of programmes.
• Risk and Change Management for all engineering deliverables including planning and mitigations.
• Manage programme baseline schedule and costs using earned value techniques.
• Direct and indirect team management across disciplines including resource planning and performance management.
