Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Project Leader Engineering to drive the delivery of complex engineering projects from London Heathrow. You will collaborate with engineering management, customers, and external partners to ensure safe, sustainable, and on-time delivery of high-quality solutions.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and adherence to project management best practices.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience delivering complex engineering projects in dynamic, operational environments.
• Experience with automated or complex integrated systems such as: Baggage Handling Systems, Material Handling Systems, Industrial Automation, Logistics & Distribution Automation, Manufacturing Systems, Transportation Infrastructure.
• Strong collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of planning, scheduling, risk management, scope control, stakeholder management, and budget management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficiency with MS Office and project planning/tools.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote a safety-first culture and embed safety in designs.
• Lead multidisciplinary internal and external engineering teams and provide technical direction.
• Create and maintain engineering project plans for collaboration and transparency.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams and foster an inclusive environment.
• Manage engineering budgets by identifying risks and opportunities.
• Own and manage delivery of technical solutions to meet performance, quality, safety and customer requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering and project management practices.
