Pioneering Greenfield Solar Development for an International Investor

Are you ready to take full ownership of building a leading UK solar portfolio from the ground up

An international renewable energy investor is entering the UK market and is seeking an experienced Lead Solar Development Manager to drive its greenfield solar (and potential co-located storage) pipeline.

This is a rare opportunity to shape the development strategy establish partnerships and lead site origination and delivery for a long-term investor with deep capital and a global track record in renewables.

The Role

As the Lead Developer you will :

  • Define and execute the UK greenfield solar development strategy from inception.
  • Identify assess and secure sites leading on land acquisition grid connection and planning consents.
  • Build and manage relationships with landowners consultants local authorities and grid operators.
  • Oversee project progression from site origination through to Ready-to-Build (RTB).
  • Advise investors on UK market dynamics policy and commercial opportunities.
  • Develop the UK development platform with scope to build and manage a local team as the portfolio grows.
Requirements

You are :

  • A proven solar developer with hands-on experience delivering UK greenfield projects through to RTB.
  • Commercially astute with strong knowledge of UK planning grid and land processes.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-directed. Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership of market entry and development strategy.
  • Skilled in stakeholder management negotiation and navigating complex regulatory environments.
  • Excited by the opportunity to shape a new market presence backed by committed long‑term capital.
