Argus Media in London is seeking a proactive Lead Price Data Analyst to head our Price Data Operations team and support global data operations. This role combines leadership with hands-on data work to deliver market intelligence across energy and commodity markets.

You will mentor analysts, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive automation, AI and Copilot-powered workflows using Power Query, Power Automate and Power BI.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data-related roles.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced formulas and reporting.
• Experience with Power Query for data extraction, transformation, cleansing and automation.
• Experience with Power BI for reporting, dashboards and visualization.
• Experience in SQL querying relational databases, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of data workflows, metadata management and database architectures.
• Experience using Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio and Power Automate to drive efficiency.
• Experience designing and maintaining AI agents, copilots and automated workflows.
• Experience integrating Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Excel and enterprise systems into automated workflows.
• Understanding of prompt engineering and AI-assisted analysis.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and managing metadata and data pipelines for accuracy and compliance.
• Supporting clients with queries related to data integration, validation and provision.
• Executing queries to retrieve and manipulate structured datasets for analysis and workflows.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Communicating technical concepts and data requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand needs and drive outcomes.
• Prioritising team workload and managing competing requests to ensure timely delivery.
• Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, AI and digital solutions.
• Contributing to design and development of AI agents, Copilot solutions and automated workflows.
• Supporting process automation initiatives using Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Query and other Microsoft technologies.
• Translating manual processes into scalable, automated, AI-driven solutions.
• Fostering an inspiring team environment with open communication.
• Overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring service levels.
• Monitoring team performance and addressing training and development needs.
