Job summary

Octopus Energy in the UK is seeking a Lead Data Analyst for Commercial Analytics to own pricing intelligence, performance reporting, and growth insights across tariffs and channels. You will shape data platforms, drive cross-functional impact, and mentor a small data team.

You will partner with Finance, Marketing, Sales and Energy Markets to deliver actionable insights, dashboards, and forecasting that support competitive pricing and business growth.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Experience mentoring data professionals and influencing non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record of delivering insights that impact pricing, margins and growth.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end pricing operations and reporting for tariffs, price changes, and margin intelligence.
• Drive pricing strategy and optimisation through competitor and market analysis.
• Lead and evolve commercial reporting pipelines across channels and campaigns.
• Deliver growth and customer insight through metric reporting, funnel analysis, forecasting and retention initiatives.
• Mentor a small team of data analysts and align with cross-functional partners.
