Job summary

Harris Academy Clapham is seeking an exceptional Lead Practitioner of Mathematics to drive outstanding teaching and learning. You will model high-quality practice, mentor staff, and lead improvement initiatives across Key Stages 3 and 4, with KS5 experience welcomed.

You will hold QTS or equivalent and possess an undergraduate degree, with a track record of improving student outcomes and effective pupil tracking. Prior experience with governors and multi-school collaboration is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development preferred.
• Demonstrate outstanding teaching practice and strong behaviour management.
• Experience of lesson observations and robust feedback.
• Experience of improvement planning and strategies to raise achievement.
• Track record of excellent KS3/KS4 results; KS5 experience desirable.
• Experience with pupil tracking and feedback.
• Experience working with governors and multi-school settings advantageous.

We are looking for an exceptional and enthusiastic Lead Practitioner of Mathematics with strong subject knowledge, a passion for outstanding teaching and learning, and a commitment to securing excellent outcomes for all students.

The successful candidate will:

• Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree, and, ideally, be able to show evidence of ongoing professional development
• Demonstrate outstanding teaching practice and excellent behaviour management
• Have experience of lesson observations and giving robust feedback
• Have experience of improvement planning and of implementing a range of strategies to raise student achievement, with evidence of success
• Be able to contribute to improving on the quality of learning and teaching and curriculum
• Have a proven track record of excellent results at KS3 and 4, and, ideally, experience of teaching to KS5
• Have experience of high quality pupil tracking and feedback practices
• Ideally, have experience of working with governors and of working in more than one school
