Job summary

DVSA is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to shape and deliver the technical strategy for large-scale digital services. You will lead a code-first approach to infrastructure, driving cloud engineering standards, automation and platform delivery across multiple teams.

Our primary platform is AWS, with experience of Azure, GitHub Actions and SaaS integrations desirable. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with senior stakeholders and ensure secure, resilient and cost-effective cloud infra.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering standardised, automated cloud platforms at scale.
• Strong hands-on experience of AWS, Linux, Docker, GitHub Actions, Jenkins and Puppet.
• Ability to shape technical strategy with senior stakeholders.
• Proven leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with cloud and SaaS integration in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead platform engineering and drive a code-first infrastructure approach.
• Champion CI/CD, DevOps principles and Infrastructure as Code.
• Mentor engineers and testers to improve capability and delivery.
