Job summary

DVSA is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to shape and deliver the technical strategy for large-scale digital services, ensuring they remain secure, resilient, scalable and cost-effective. You will lead a code‑first approach to infrastructure, driving cloud engineering standards, automation and platform delivery across multiple teams.

Qualifications

• Senior technical leadership and hands-on cloud experience.
• Ability to mentor engineers and testers to improve delivery.
• Proven capability to partner with stakeholders and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on technical direction across multiple DevOps teams.
• Lead establishment and governance of DevOps standards and IaC practices.
• Mentor teams to uplift capability and delivery.
• Design and architect secure, scalable cloud services (AWS preferred).
• Drive automation and infrastructure as code using Terraform, Puppet, Ansible.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery from concept to live deployment and ongoing maintenance.
• Lead resolution of complex live issues with Service Management and stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and align solutions with business goals.
