Job summary

National Highways in the South East region is seeking an Engineer to lead pavement renewal schemes and coordinate with project teams to ensure the SRN meets safety and performance needs.

Based at Basingstoke or Maidstone, the role may require unsociable hours and travel. You will drive to sites and support asset studies while maintaining high standards of health and safety policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Membership of professional Body (desirable) or working towards Membership.
• Degree or HND in relevant discipline and appropriate experience, or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of DMRB standards and their application.
• Experience in highway infrastructure design, construction and delivery methods.
• Good knowledge of CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver pavement renewal schemes, coordinating with project teams and third parties.
• Support asset studies and ensure assets remain in serviceable condition.
• Lead development of early solutions for renewals and improvements, considering costs and buildability.
• Develop technical briefs for design and construction contractors.
• Provide technical support to Project Managers including materials approvals and site inspections.
