National Highways is seeking an Engineer to join the Pavement/Roads Team in the South East, supporting the delivery of pavement renewal schemes for the SRN. You will work with project teams and third parties to develop early solutions and ensure assets meet standards.

Based in Basingstoke or Maidstone, the role requires coordinating works, providing technical support to Project Managers, and preparing briefs for design and construction contractors while adhering to CDM and DMRB standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DMRB standards and their application on the highway network.
• Experience in highway infrastructure design, construction and delivery methods.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 requirements.
• Membership of a professional body is desirable or you are working towards it.
• Degree or HND in a relevant discipline with appropriate experience or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Lead in the development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes for the SRN.
• Support activities in planning and development of early solutions for pavement assets.
• Coordinate works across the region with project teams and third parties.
• Provide technical support to Project Managers and assist with materials approvals.
• Vet contractors' compliance and inspect on site; review Health and Safety Files.
• Develop technical briefs for design and construction contractors; ensure alignment with asset strategies and standards.
