Job summary

National Highways in the South East region is seeking an Engineer to join our Pavement/Roads Team within Operations. You will lead the development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes to keep the SRN safe and reliable for customers.

You will support asset studies, coordinate across project teams and third parties, apply DMRB standards, and help ensure buildability, costs and safety compliance. The role can be based from Basingstoke or Maidstone and may require unsocial hours.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in a relevant discipline with appropriate experience.
• Good knowledge of DMRB standards and their application.
• Experience in highway infrastructure design, construction and delivery methods.
• Familiarity with CDM 2015.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes.
• Coordinate works across the region with project teams and third parties.
• Provide technical support to Project Managers; assist with materials approvals and vetting of contractors' compliance.
