National Highways in the South East region seeks an Engineer to join the Pavement/Roads Team within the Operations Directorate. You will lead the development and delivery of pavement renewal schemes to keep the SRN safe and reliable for customers now and into the future.

The role is based in the Basingstoke or Maidstone office, may require unsociable hours and occasional travel. You will drive as part of the role and work with project teams to ensure compliance with asset strategies and

Competenze

• Degree required or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Good knowledge of DMRB standards and their application.
• Experience in highway infrastructure design, construction and delivery methods.

Mansioni

• Ensure health and safety needs are considered throughout planning and delivery.
• Support asset studies and survey works with prioritisation for maintainability.
• Lead development of early renewal/improvement solutions, evaluating options and costs.
• Develop technical briefs for design/construction contractors.
• Provide technical support to Project Managers with materials approvals and site inspections.
