Job summary

Amey is seeking an Assistant OLE Engineer to join the Consulting Rail team in the UK. The role covers the full project lifecycle from inception to completion across multiple regional offices, including Manchester.

You will contribute to technically sound rail engineering solutions, align with safety standards, and help deliver diverse, high‑value rail projects across well-known frameworks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of rail design processes and procedures.
• Ability to produce rail engineering solutions meeting standards and client requirements.
• Experience with health, safety and welfare tasks (CDM Regulations).

Responsibilities

• Produce technically sound engineering solutions within a team.
• Support management and technical delivery from start to finish.
• Conduct principal or special inspections and prepare technical reports.
• Prepare and check designs, calculations, drawings and deliverables.
