Mars Wrigley Confectionery UK is seeking a mechanically minded maintenance professional for the Slough factory. You will perform first line maintenance across several production machines with a 37.5 hour week and rotating 12-hour shifts (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off).

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience: Minimum 1 year managing and coordinating operators.
• Diagnosing mechanical issues through systematic troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficient in taking apart machinery to understand components and functionality, and reassembling for optimal operation.
• Keen eye for detail to identify faults or inefficiencies and ensure precision during assembly/disassembly.
• Commitment to ongoing improvement and willingness to modify machinery or processes to boost efficiency, safety, or performance.
• Ability to work effectively in teams, sharing insights and collaborating to implement improvements.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead for first line maintenance of several production machines including operational decisions to achieve targets.
• Identify and repair mechanical breakdowns on various machinery.
• Accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify the root causes of problems.
• Coordinate a small team of operators and temporary associates to achieve line targets.
• Assist operators with daily productions tasks to ensure line targets are met.
