Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead and deliver mechanical building services design projects across data centres, industrial and commercial developments. The role involves managing medium to large-scale projects from concept through to delivery, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining strong client and contractor relationships.

You will work within a consultancy/construction environment, applying CIBSE guidance and UK standards, developing detailed designs

Qualifications

• HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with relevant industry experience.
• Experience in mechanical building services design across multiple RIBA stages.
• Strong knowledge of CIBSE guidance, British Standards, Building Regulations and industry codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering design and project delivery across building services projects.
• Produce detailed mechanical designs, calculations, drawings and documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and other disciplines; manage programmes and quality requirements.
• Provide technical advice at design reviews and project meetings; mentor graduates and junior engineers.
