Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an Electrical Building Services Engineer to lead electrical design for critical data centre projects in London and beyond. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, driving low‑carbon design, and delivering complex schemes on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have a Building Services or Electrical Engineering degree with Chartered status, plus extensive data centre experience and a track record of leading engineering teams across

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical, Building Services, or Architectural Engineering with Chartered CEng status via IET, CIBSE, or equivalent.
• Proven track record in electrical building services design for data centres or other mission‑critical environments.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex local and international projects.
• Strong knowledge of UK and international standards, codes of practice and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Technical design leadership to drive low‑carbon, resilient electrical designs from feasibility to delivery.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure fully integrated solutions.
• Own project performance, schedules, resources and quality assurance.
• Act as main technical contact for clients and lead technical discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers and design teams under senior leadership oversight.
• Explore and implement advanced digital tools to improve delivery efficiency.
