• Leadership experience is desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Lead Maintenance Engineer

Sittingbourne (ME10 3NB)

£55,918 (including shift allowance) plus overtime & benefits

42 hours per week, 4 on - 4 off, rotating days & nights

Role Overview

Your main responsibilities include leading a team of two engineers to ensure continuous production by troubleshooting and maintaining equipment safely and efficiently. You will work on various equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.

Responsibilities include performing planned and reactive maintenance activities on-site. The shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off, covering both days and nights from 6 am to 6 pm.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (apprenticeship or equivalent)
• 3+ years’ experience in medium/large automated manufacturing environments
• Leadership experience is desirable but not essential
• Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Electrical fault finding and routine maintenance skills
• Ability to analyze and diagnose plant issues accurately
• Strong communication skills with team members and other departments
• PLC and VSD knowledge is advantageous
• Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics
