We are looking for a lead maintenance engineer to join our team of hardworking engineers. Our turnover is over £55 million a year, establishing the success the business has.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the shift maintenance team, delivering both reactive and proactive maintenance across all operational equipment and infrastructure.
  2. Carry out, complete, and sign off planned maintenance and ensure timely completion across the team.
  3. Drive site performance by reducing downtime, improving reliability, and leading improvement initiatives.
  4. Liaise with external contractors for maintenance tasks, checking RAMS, issuing permits to work, and ensuring safe practices.
  5. Conduct risk assessments for all maintenance and unplanned work.
  6. Ensure maintenance staff maintain tools and workspaces to a high standard.
  7. Work closely with the SHEQ team to resolve H&S, environmental, and compliance issues.
  8. Maintain logs, check sheets, and ensure all compliance records are correctly filled.
  9. Participate in continuous improvement projects and attend relevant training.
  10. Any other duties reasonably requested by the management team.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Experience in a team leader or supervisory role.
  • Multi-skilled or mechanically biased.
  • NVQ Level 3 minimum in mechanical engineering.
  • Time-served engineer.
