Lead Maintenance Engineer

Sittingbourne (ME10 3NB)
£55,918 (including shift allowance) plus overtime & benefits
42 hours per week, 4 on - 4 off, rotating days & nights

What is the mission?

Your main responsibilities include leading a team of two engineers on shift to ensure continuous production by fault finding and maintaining equipment. You will work on various equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic systems.

You will perform planned and reactive engineering activities. The shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off, covering both days and nights from 6am to 6pm.

What are the critical skills?

• Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (apprenticeship)
• 3+ years' experience in a medium/large automated manufacturing environment
• Leadership experience is preferred but not essential
• Understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Electrical fault finding and routine maintenance experience
• Ability to diagnose and recommend solutions for maintenance issues
• Excellent communication skills with operational and maintenance teams
• PLC and VSD knowledge is advantageous
• Experience with mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics
