Lead Maintenance Engineer

Sittingbourne (ME10 3NB)
£55,918 (including shift allowance) plus overtime & benefits
42 hours per week, 4 on - 4 off, rotating days & nights

We’re investing in our Engineering team with opportunities for personal development and career growth. We’re recruiting Engineering Team Leaders for our Sittingbourne site.

Mission

Your main responsibilities include leading a team of two engineers on shift to ensure continuous production by troubleshooting and maintaining equipment, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance activities. The shift pattern is 4 days on, 4 days off, covering 6am to 6pm, including nights.

Essential Skills
  • Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (apprenticeship completed)
  • 3+ years’ experience in a medium/large automated manufacturing environment
  • Leadership experience is preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations
  • Electrical fault finding and routine maintenance skills
  • Ability to diagnose and recommend solutions for plant issues
  • Excellent communication skills with maintenance and production teams
  • PLC and VSD knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience with mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics
