Job summary

Nexus Life Sciences in Luton seeks an experienced MS Method Development Lead to drive the development and validation of LCMSMS bioanalytical methods under GxP standards. This senior role combines technical excellence with team leadership and strategic oversight.

You will lead method development, optimise extraction techniques and chromatography, mentor the team, and ensure compliance with GLP guidelines while supporting regulatory submissions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, or related field.
• Minimum 4+ years in a GxP laboratory with 2+ years in management.
• Expertise in HPLC, UPLC, LCMSMS and chromatography data systems.
• Proficient in method development, optimisation and validation.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of protein precipitation, SPE and Liquid-Liquid extraction techniques.
• Understanding of regulatory and GLP requirements.
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead method development and validation as SME.
• optimise extraction techniques and chromatography methods.
• Mentor the Method Development & Validation team.
• Ensure GLP SOPs and international guidelines compliance.
• Troubleshoot analytical methods and implement improvements.
• Oversee cost-effective laboratory operations and consumables.
• Write and approve Methods of Analysis; transfer validated methods to teams.
• Support regulatory submissions and address queries.
• Conduct CAPAs and drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare, review, and adhere to GLP SOPs.
• Lead team meetings and staff development sessions.
