Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in London is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for the Payments team to build a high-performance, cloud-based payments platform.

You will own end-to-end delivery of new payment flows, from requirements to production, in a fast-paced agile environment. You will lead design reviews, drive AI-assisted engineering practices for quality and speed, and mentor engineers while championing security, resiliency, and compliance across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on coding with a track record of delivering
• Strong understanding of responsible AI in engineering workflows
• Experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption of AI
• Proven ability in system design, application development, testing, and operations

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions and perform design and debugging
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others' code
• Lead AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed
• Establish validation standards including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing
• Promote reuse of effective patterns across the team
• Utilize SDLC tools including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities
• Lead architectural design evaluation sessions with internal teams
• Lead communities of practice to promote new technologies
• Foster a diverse, inclusive team culture
