Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience
• Strong fundamentals in system design, data structures, algorithms, and architecture
• Hands-on full-stack or cross-functional development across frontend, backend, data pipelines, or mobile
• Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot, Python/PySpark, GraphQL, or mobile frameworks, across additional stacks as needed
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and relational/distributed data platforms like Oracle, Databricks
• Advanced understanding of agile methods, CI/CD, resiliency, and secure software development practices
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and integration into business apps or data workflows
• Experience with enterprise AI-assisted development tools and evaluating AI outputs for correctness and security
• Understanding of responsible AI in engineering workflows and data sensitivity considerations

Responsibilities

• Execute creative software solutions and design, develop, and troubleshoot technical problems
• Develop secure high-quality production code and review others' code
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues for stability
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams on architectural designs
• Lead communities of practice to promote adoption of new technologies
• Contribute to a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed
• Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, and automated testing
• Promote reuse of effective patterns across the team and use SDLC toolchain effectively
