Job summary

UTAC in the United Kingdom is seeking an IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer to join our IT team. You will own 2nd/3rd line support for core infrastructure, including email platforms, virtualization, storage, and network services, collaborating with senior engineers on improvements.

The role leads infrastructure projects, evaluates new technologies, and supports global IT initiatives. Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange, and backup/recovery is essential; travel and driving license are

Qualifications

2nd/3rd line support experience in IT infrastructure.
Hands-on with virtualization and storage management.
Experience with Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online/Server.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Morpheus).
Perform capacity planning, resource optimization, and patch management.
Manage SAN/NAS storage, including provisioning and DR tasks.
Support LAN/WAN, including switches, routers and firewalls.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Lead on email infrastructure projects and maintain documentation.
