Job summary

IT Infrastructure Support Engineer role at TavasTechs in the Midlands. Based on site in Leicester and Rugby, the role covers 1st/2nd line support, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring critical systems are available and secure across multiple sites.

You will work with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, AD, networking, backups and SQL Server management, with occasional out-of-hours support and travel between sites. Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT/Infrastructure support roles.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11 and Active Directory.
• Experience with Windows Server environments.
• Good networking fundamentals and switch troubleshooting.
• Experience with SQL Server backups/maintenance.
• Backup and recovery technologies experience.
• Google Workspace administration is a plus.
• Experience with IT service management or ticketing systems.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently within a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support across multiple sites.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking and telephony issues.
• Support and administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and AD access.
• Support Windows Server environments and system maintenance.
• Assist with SQL Server administration, backups and monitoring.
• Support backup/recovery solutions and DR testing.
• Assist with network infrastructure and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and suppliers.
• Test and deploy hardware/software upgrades.
• Contribute to IT security initiatives and asset records.
• Participate in business continuity and travel between sites.
• Occasional out-of-hours support on a rota.
