Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor at Eastwood Hall (Nottinghamshire) to lead the housekeeping team and ensure bedrooms and public areas are clean, safe and beautifully presented. Youll work closely with Reception, Maintenance and Duty Management to support smooth venue operations and deliver memorable guest experiences.

Youll ideally have prior housekeeping experience in hospitality, supervisory experience, a keen eye for detail, strong organisational and communication

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience, ideally in hotels or conference venues.
• Experience supervising a housekeeping team is desirable.
• Strong eye for detail and pride in cleanliness.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Strong communication across departments.
• Friendly, professional guest-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH.
• Willingness to train and develop colleagues.

• Good IT skills to manage room status and department information.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Housekeeping team in the absence of the Deputy Head Housekeeper and Head Housekeeper, ensuring all duties are covered and completed to a high standard.
• Monitor and maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, safety and presentation across bedrooms and public areas.
• Carry out regular checks to ensure areas meet the required standards.
• Check Housekeeping equipment is in good working order and report any maintenance issues across the venue.
• Ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained within the department.
• Work closely with Reception, Porters and Duty Management to support the smooth running of the venue.
• Communicate effectively with other departments regarding room status, occupancy, guest requirements and any issues affecting room availability.
• Use the relevant computer systems to update room status and access information including occupancy and guest details.
• Follow the Quality Standards, Standards Manual and departmental procedures at all times.
• Ensure information is recorded accurately and handled with appropriate confidentiality.
• Support the induction and training of new Housekeeping team members.
• Take an active role in ongoing training and development within the department.
• Ensure all relevant legislation and procedures are followed, including Health & Safety, COSHH, Fire Precautions and Environmental Health requirements.
• Deliver high standards of customer care to both internal and external guests, understanding the factors that contribute to a positive guest experience.
• Ensure all Housekeeping equipment is used correctly, properly maintained, stored safely and kept clean.
• Support other areas of the venue when reasonably required, working as part of the wider team to meet the needs of the business.
• Help reduce unnecessary energy and water usage across the venue and support Eastwood Hall's commitment to responsible operations. We're looking for someone who takes real pride in their work, enjoys leading a team and has a great eye for detail.
