Job summary

Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor on a fixed-term basis to lead a professional housekeeping team and ensure guest bedrooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.

You will prepare daily worksheets, supervise staff, conduct room inspections, and respond to guest requests, maintaining accurate rota and attendance records while upholding the hotel's commitment to exceptional hospitality.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a housekeeping supervisor, ideally within a hotel environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills are essential.
• Ability to build effective, collaborative relationships across all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily worksheets for the housekeeping team in line with the rota, ensuring rooms are correctly allocated and prioritised as needed.
• Supervise Housekeeping Assistants, Public Area Cleaners, and Linen Porters, taking proactive action to maintain the hotel’s high standards.
• Conduct daily inspections of guestrooms to ensure cleanliness, check furnishings and equipment, and address any issues promptly.
• Respond to guest requests and special requirements to consistently exceed expectations.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records of rotas, payroll, overtime, extra payments, absences, and holidays.
• Monitor staffing levels daily and weekly to ensure the team is adequately resourced.
• Ensure all vacant and occupied rooms meet the hotel’s standards of presentation and cleanliness.
