Job summary

John Lewis Partnership is seeking a Technician Specialist to join a two-person delivery crew, installing furniture, white goods, and electricals at customers' homes. You will coach fellow drivers and deliver excellent service while working from a delivery hub and out on routes.

The role requires installation experience, a 7.5-tonne vehicle background, and a customer-facing mindset. You’ll work 41 hours weekly on a 5-week rota, including 3 Saturdays, with a strong focus on safety and product

Qualifications

• Previous installation experience required.
• Experience driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
• DCPC or Driver Qualification Card by day one, Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
• Great verbal communication skills over phone and in person.
• Good understanding of technology.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with top customer service.
• Coach, develop and assess delivery driver colleagues into best performance.
• Assist in loading the lorry with deliveries with the warehouse team.
• Handle customer homes with respect and resolve issues to best satisfy customers.
• Install products efficiently and demonstrate usage to customers.
