The team ensures heavy vehicles meet statutory testing and approval requirements, advising operators and manufacturers while supporting policy development and safety objectives.

Aufgaben

• Provide professional assessment of heavy vehicle test applications for first test and conversions.
• Assess ECWVTA applications for approved vehicles.
• Provide technical support and advisory service to processing teams, operators, manufacturers and the public.
• Investigate possible solutions to mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with Vehicle Policy on new initiatives and standards.
• Communicate with customers to understand requirements and provide concise responses via the technical inbox.
• Provide support to Heavy Vehicle Processing Manager and represent DVSA at trade events.
• Maintain relevant databases as required.
