Government Recruitment Service is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Technical Officer in Barking to assess complex vehicle applications and ensure regulatory compliance. You will respond to technical queries and support frontline teams while working with policy and testing groups to develop standards.

The role requires collaboration with vehicle operators, manufacturers and other agencies, contributing to safety and operational performance across the vehicle testing network.

Qualificações

• Understanding of heavy vehicle regulatory testing and DVSA standards.
• Ability to provide technical advice to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide professional assessment of heavy vehicle statutory test applications for first test and vehicle conversion, checking reports and documentation for compliance.
• Respond to technical queries from non-technical processing teams and act as advisory service to frontline staff, operators, manufacturers and others.
• Investigate possible solutions to solve issues or mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with the Vehicle Policy Team on new initiatives and developing standards.
• Communicate positively with internal and external customers to ensure understanding and concise responses via the technical inbox.
• Provide support to the Heavy Vehicle Processing Manager, representing DVSA at trade events and ad hoc tasks.
• Maintain relevant databases as required.
