Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Technical Director / Associate Director to lead the Ground Engineering Team across UK projects. You will drive technical development, oversee geotechnical data, and manage client relationships to support business growth.

Responsibilities include leading multi-disciplinary projects, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality while collaborating with Transport, Water, Energy and Buildings teams.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical field with high standing.
MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics or Geotechnical Engineering is advantageous.
Chartered status demonstrates professional standing.

Responsibilities

Oversee input, peer review and verification of geotechnical data and analyses.
Provide consultative advice during all project stages including site selection and optioneering.
Manage geotechnical projects with scheduling, coordination and budget control.
Provide leadership and mentoring to the Ground Engineering team.
Maintain relationships with past, current and prospective clients to sustain opportunities.
Lead multi-disciplinary project delivery for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with Transport, Water, Energy and Buildings teams on tender inputs.
