Job summary

EY in Glasgow seeks an Associate Director to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven, data-centric solutions for strategic client environments.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with client and internal teams, and drive adoption of RAG, autonomous agents, and LangChain-based workflows using Python. This role offers hybrid work and broad exposure to global client projects.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering, data engineering, or AI/ML solution delivery.
• Proven experience delivering scalable AI/ML solutions in client-facing roles.
• Strong knowledge of ML, NLP, CV, data platforms, and big data technologies.
• Experience with cloud-native development and container orchestration.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience delivering complex technical engagements for enterprise clients.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior client stakeholders and technical teams to support AI and data strategy initiatives.
• Assist in the full lifecycle of solution development—from problem definition to deployment and adoption.
• Develop and implement AI and LLM-powered applications leveraging RAG and autonomous agents.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and data scientists within cross-functional pods.
• Contribute to proposals, technical demos, and client engagements by articulating AI/ML capabilities.
