Job summary

EY seeks a Senior Applied AI Engineer (Manager) to lead technical delivery of AI services across FS, government and private sectors. You will shape architectures and mentor engineers to ensure production-ready systems within enterprise environments.

Hybrid UK-based role with client-site travel across London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Belfast. The EY Applied AI Engineering Academy supports ongoing leadership development and advanced patterns.

Qualifications

• Deep software/systems engineering across Python/TypeScript and distributed systems with modern CI/CD
• Applied-AI expertise: LLM/RAG engineering, evaluation, telemetry and release management
• Cloud architecture across Azure/AWS/GCP, Kubernetes/Docker, serverless, IAM and network security
• Data engineering depth: Spark/Databricks; ETL/ELT in cloud-native data + AI architectures
• Enterprise integration and SRE: SLIs/SLOs, runbooks, rollback
• Consulting leadership: stakeholder, budget and risk management; team leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery across solution threads: set direction, mentor engineers, ensure production readiness
• Architect enterprise-grade AI services (agents, RAG pipelines, orchestration layers); ensure operational readiness
• Product mindset: establish reference architectures and reusable accelerators; contribute to knowledge sharing and thought leadership
• Guide client-facing engineering efforts and senior stakeholder engagement; ensure quality across squads
