Leicestershire County Council is seeking a qualified professional to manage a small team of Operators for highways maintenance, surfacing and related works at Croft Depot or Mountsorrel Depot. You will supervise activities, ensure quality, safety, and statutory compliance, and support less experienced operatives on site.

The role may require out-of-hours work including nights, weekends and holidays to meet service needs, with a commitment to flexible working and incident response.

Competenze

• NVQ 2 in Highways Maintenance or equivalent is required or demonstrated evidence of similar qualifications.
• NRSWA Operative qualification or equivalent and relevant H&S training records/certification.
• Experience in highways/civil engineering with IT use in a work context.

Mansioni

• Lead a small team of Operators delivering highways, footpaths and structures works.
• Ensure works meet Leicestershire County Council specifications and safety requirements.
• Record incidents and escalate as needed to Site Team Leader/Supervisor.
