Job summary

AKG UK is seeking an CtW Employment Specialist Team Lead in Milton Keynes. The role oversees a small team of Employment Specialists and a caseload of up to 10 participants, guiding them back into paid work and providing ongoing in-work support where needed.

You will develop the Connect to Work service, lead employer engagement, ensure fidelity to the supported employment model, and coordinate with partners to secure opportunities and provide supervisory oversight.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervision of Employment Specialists.
• Experience managing caseloads and supporting job seekers.
• Engagement with local employers and training providers.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of up to 10 participants aiming for paid employment.
• Provide ongoing In Work Support as required.
• Build relationships with employers, training providers and colleges to create opportunities.
• Lead job development and job search activities aligned to participants' interests.
• Support retention by advising on in-work welfare benefits where appropriate.
• Promote the CtW service to partners and the public while managing expectations.
• Provide leadership and supervision to the Employment Specialists.
• Mentor staff to develop practice and improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with Service Manager and stakeholders on implementation of supported employment models.
• Coordinate case conferences with partners to ensure holistic support.
