Job description

We're looking for a dedicated and motivated Employment Specialist to support individuals with health support needs and learning disabilities on their journey towards paid employment. In this rewarding role, you'll manage a caseload of participants, providing personalised advice, guidance, and practical support to help them overcome barriers, build confidence, and achieve their career goals. Every day offers the opportunity to make a genuine and lasting difference to someone's life.

Working closely with referral partners, support services, and employers, you'll develop tailored Action Plans, carry out individual assessments, and coordinate the support each person needs to succeed. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about changing lives and creating opportunities within their local community. You'll need excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality, compliance, and record keeping. In return, you'll join a supportive organisation where your work has a real impact, helping people gain independence, confidence, and a brighter future through employment.

  • Work with partner organisations and specialist services to provide holistic support.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with data protection and safeguarding requirements.
  • Champion best practice and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.

Desirable
  • Good understanding of the local labour market.
  • Knowledge of self-employment, employability, and recruitment sectors.
  • Experience providing information, advice, and guidance to customers.
