Job summary

Stantec in the UK is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical and EICA design across major water and wastewater projects, with delivery from feasibility through construction support. Based in the Midlands or South West with hybrid working, you will mentor engineers, shape technical standards, and collaborate with clients, contractors and internal teams to drive sustainable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or working towards.
• Experience delivering electrical/EICA solutions within complex infrastructure.
• Proven experience supporting or leading technical delivery across multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, specifications and technical documentation.
• Experience producing and reviewing deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Control Philosophies and technical reports.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and EICA design across major water and wastewater projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the full project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal specialists to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to the growth of the technical capability.
