Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join the Water team in the UK. Based across Birmingham, Redditch, Derby, Bristol or Exeter, you will lead electrical/EICA design across major water projects, ensure quality and regulatory compliance, and coordinate multidisciplinary designs from feasibility to construction support.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with clients and supply chain partners, and help grow Stantec’s electrical capability while delivering sustainable

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status, or working towards professional registration.
• Experience delivering electrical or EICA solutions within complex infrastructure environments.
• Proven ability leading technical delivery across multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, specs, and documentation.
• Experience producing reviews of deliverables like SLDs, control philosophies, and reports.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with clients and teams.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of electrical and EICA design solutions for major water and wastewater projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal specialists to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to growing technical capability.
