Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join our Water team in the UK, with options across Birmingham, Redditch, Derby, Bristol or Exeter. You will provide technical leadership across a portfolio of water and wastewater projects, developing electrical design solutions and ensuring quality and compliance throughout delivery.

The role involves mentoring junior engineers, coordinating multidisciplinary designs with project managers and clients, and supporting the growth of Stantec’s

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status or working towards registration.
• Experience delivering electrical or EICA solutions within complex infrastructure.
• Proven experience leading technical delivery across multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles, specs and docs.
• Experience producing and reviewing deliverables like Single Line Diagrams, Control Philosophies and reports.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of electrical and EICA design solutions across water and wastewater projects.
• Provide technical guidance across full project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal specialists to deliver engineering solutions.
