Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Water team in the UK. You will deliver electrical and EICA design solutions across water and wastewater assets, shaping resilient infrastructure for communities.

Based in Birmingham, Derby, Redditch or Cardiff, you will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams, and contribute across feasibility, detailed design, construction support and commissioning to drive safe, sustainable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering electrical or EICA engineering solutions within an infrastructure, utilities or related environment.
• Understanding of electrical design principles, standards and technical documentation.
• Experience supporting multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Ability to produce and review technical outputs such as Single Line Diagrams, specifications and design documentation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with clients, colleagues and project teams.
• A proactive approach to problem solving and delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
• Experience supporting or mentoring less experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical and EICA design solutions across a range of water and wastewater projects.
• Develop your technical capability through exposure to complex engineering challenges.
• Work closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support and mentor developing engineers while continuing your own professional growth.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, optioneering, detailed design, construction support and commissioning.
