Job summary

CATL is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to own the electrical engineering scope for global BESS projects, from early feasibility through RtB. The role requires hands-on leadership across UK, Europe, Australia and other markets, coordinating with DNOs, TSOs and engineering partners to de-risk and deliver grid-ready designs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in utility-scale renewables or BESS.
• Experience delivering grid connection or RtB/financial close on multi-market projects.
• Leadership of electrical design packages and grid due diligence with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design across the project portfolio from feasibility to RtB handover.
• Own SLDs, electrical layouts, protection philosophy, and equipment specs.
• Define and maintain design standards and gates across markets (UK, EU, AU).
• Review designs from EPCs, consultants, and suppliers; ensure risk mitigation.
