CATL in London is seeking an experienced Grid Expert to own the end-to-end grid interconnection, compliance, and integration for a growing portfolio of utility-scale BESS projects across Europe.

You will lead engagements with TSOs/DSOs, coordinate studies, ensure grid code compliance, and advise on risk, commercial, and regulatory aspects while collaborating with development, engineering, and commercial teams.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline.
• Master’s degree preferred; PE / Chartered Engineer status highly desirable.
• Minimum 5-7 years relevant industry experience on grid interconnection for utility-scale renewable assets, primarily battery energy storage (BESS).
• Experience engaging with utilities, TSOs/DSOs on interconnection applications, technical studies and grid compliance processes.

Aufgaben

• Own end-to-end grid interconnection, compliance and integration lifecycle for utility-scale BESS projects.
• Lead grid capacity screening, interconnection applications and manage processes with utilities, TSOs and DSOs.
• Ensure grid design, controls and protection schemes comply with local grid codes and interconnection standards.
• Coordinate with development, engineering, EPC, construction, legal and commercial teams to embed grid constraints into projects.
