Job summary

Field Energy is seeking a Project Engineer to lead electrical delivery for long‑duration BESS projects in the UK. You will oversee activities from pre‑construction through energisation and handover, coordinating with EPC teams, contractors and internal specialists across Grid, Design and Procurement.

You’ll manage technical documentation, risk assessments and QHSE requirements, ensuring compliant, on‑time delivery while maintaining strong communications with stakeholders and lenders where

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree required.
• 5+ years in EPC or developer role, preferably in BESS.
• Experience with transmission-connected projects preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen and PM deliverables knowledge.
• Solid understanding of grid compliance and CDM safety.
• Proactive, pragmatic approach to quality management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical delivery on BESS projects from pre-construction to energisation and handover to Asset Operations.
• Manage contractors, BoP, consultants and Field-appointed designers.
• Coordinate with in-house Grid, BESS, Design, Procurement and Asset Operations teams.
• Support due diligence, tender evaluation and schedule/budget inputs.
• Review technical submissions, FAT and site works; ensure safety and quality.
• Lead interface with DNO/TO delivery during construction.
