Job summary

Field Energy is seeking a Lead Grid Connection Engineer (Delivery) to lead grid compliance deliverables on long-duration BESS projects from pre-construction through FON. You will manage stakeholders, review contractor studies, and coordinate with NESO and TOs to ensure approvals and safe energisation.

The role requires hands-on management, UK grid code knowledge, and a proactive, execution-focused approach within a multi-disciplinary team. Remote UK work is supported.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering (or similar) degree and/or over 8 years industry experience in a technical or grid orientated role.
• Good commercial mind and a thorough understanding of transmission grid connection compliance process, as well as the wider connection and project delivery process.
• Thorough understanding of the grid compliance process.
• Understanding of project health and safety requirements, including CDM
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction grid compliance activities and interfaces with TOs.
• Review contractor designs and power system studies for compliance.
• Coordinate with NESO and BoP contractors to progress compliance.
• Support testing, energisation, and handover to Asset Operations.
• Manage compliance issues from ION through to FON.
