Job summary

Bright Horizons Sale Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking a Third in Charge to lead and mentor a team, ensuring high standards of care and education for children. You will safeguard welfare, health, and safety, while building strong partnerships with parents and professionals in a busy nursery environment.

The role requires a Level 3+ Early Years qualification and prior leadership experience in an early years setting.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience in an Early Years setting, ideally as Third in Charge or Room Leader.
• Confident decision maker with leadership experience.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and compliance with legislation.
• Ability to build trust with colleagues and parents.
• Excellent communication with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, support, and inspire a team to deliver high-quality care and education.
• Promote child welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding standards.
• Maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents, and professionals.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead when required.
• Promote the nursery to support retention and occupancy growth.
• Engage with Local Authority to understand local offerings and practice.
