Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd is seeking a Duty Manager for the St Ives SPAR store. You will lead on store operations, customer service, and team leadership during shifts, driving sales and ensuring standards across the business.

The role covers a dynamic, high-volume environment with flexible hours and a focus on Brilliant Basics and community engagement. Role requires supervisory experience in food retail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work across shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous management or supervisor experience in fast-paced food retail.
• Commitment to exceptional customer service standards.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager and be responsible for the store during Duty Manager shifts.
• Deliver store operations, objectives and KPIs.
• Coach and support colleagues to build a motivated team.
• Handle performance and absence management as appropriate.
• Occasional opening/closing, stock/cash security and accountability.
