Job summary

A.F. Blakemore & Son Ltd are recruiting a Duty Manager for the Birmingham Airport SPAR store. You will support the Store Manager, lead a small team across shifts, and ensure a safe, high-performing store while driving customer satisfaction and store profitability.

The role requires a hands-on leader who can adapt to a fast-paced retail environment. The position offers minimum 24 hours per week with a pay of £13.75 per hour, plus bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package including

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory or management roles in retail or fast-paced environments.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and standards.
• Ability to plan, organise and lead a team across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager to operate the store safely and effectively.
• Lead and coach colleagues to achieve KPIs and service standards.
• Manage performance and absence as appropriate.
• Occasionally open/close the store and handle cash/security tasks.
• Foster community engagement and promote the store.
