Job summary

Verity Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Care Manager to lead our domiciliary service in Cumberland / Cumbria. You will manage and motivate staff, develop care plans and ensure compliance with CQC regulations, delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

The role requires strong leadership, organisational skills and a full UK driving licence. Salary £35,000–£45,000, full-time and permanent, with opportunities for progression and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Manager or Registered Care Manager.
• Experience in domiciliary/homecare services.
• Level 5 Diploma or working towards it.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and care standards.
• Experience supporting or preparing for CQC inspections is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to make decisions and manage challenging situations.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of high-quality domiciliary care.
• Lead, manage and motivate a team of care professionals.
• Support staff development, performance and training.
• Develop, review and maintain personalised care plans.
• Ensure service operates in line with CQC regulations and legislation.
• Monitor quality and safety of care delivery.
• Maintain accurate care records, schedules and documentation.
• Build strong relationships with clients, families, staff and external stakeholders.
• Support audits, inspections and quality assurance processes.
• Identify areas for improvement and develop the service further.
• Ensure safeguarding procedures and best-practice standards are followed.
