Job summary

Verity Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Care Manager to lead our domiciliary service in Cumberland / Cumbria. You will manage and motivate staff, develop care plans and ensure compliance with CQC regulations, delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

The role requires strong leadership, organisational skills and a full UK driving licence. Salary £35,000–£45,000, full-time and permanent, with opportunities for progression and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Care Manager or Registered Care Manager.
• Experience in domiciliary/homecare services.
• Level 5 Diploma or working towards it.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and care standards.
• Experience supporting or preparing for CQC inspections is desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to make decisions and manage challenging situations.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

The Role

As a Care Manager / Registered Care Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management and development of the domiciliary care service across Cumberland and Cumbria.

• Overseeing the day-to-day delivery of high-quality domiciliary care.
• Leading, managing and motivating a team of care professionals.
• Supporting staff development, performance and training.
• Developing, reviewing and maintaining personalised care plans.
• Ensuring the service operates in line with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.

About You

We are looking for an experienced care professional who can demonstrate:

• Previous experience as a Care Manager or Registered Care Manager.
• Strong experience within domiciliary/homecare services.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care, or currently working towards it.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance and care standards.
• Experience supporting or preparing for CQC inspections is highly desirable.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• The confidence to make decisions and manage challenging situations.
• A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
