Job summary

The Queens Hotel in Leeds is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Conference and Banqueting Supervisor to support the smooth running of events. In this role you will supervise day-to-day operations of conferences and banquets, ensuring the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction.

You will lead and motivate the conference and banqueting team, coordinate with kitchen, bar and operations, oversee setup and breakdown, handle client requests, and maintain health, safety and hygiene

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a conference, banqueting, or hospitality supervisory role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach.
• Ability to oversee multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the setup and breakdown of conference and banquet events to meet client expectations.
• Leading and motivating the conference and banqueting team to deliver exceptional service.
• Coordinating with kitchen, bar, and operations teams to ensure smooth event execution.
• Acting as a point of contact for clients during events and handling last-minute changes.
• Monitoring service standards and ensuring adherence to procedures and guest expectations.
• Training and mentoring staff to enhance service skills and efficiency.
• Managing stock levels of event supplies and equipment.
• Ensuring health, safety and hygiene regulations are met in event spaces.
